If you have ever wanted to restore your own Jeep CJ the way you think it should be, here is a great chance. These untouched CJ-2As are getting so much harder to find in Western Canada. This is one of a few projects my husband didn’t get to complete. He collected some things that will give you a great head start on the project, and a few extras to sell to help fund the project. It is a 1947, as is the engine. He said the engine was good but expected it would need some fiddling to run well. He was a mechanic, so I expect his evaluation was good. The engine stand is included. The Jeep itself is full of bits and pieces of Jeep stuff. I think they look really rough, but maybe they could be used for something. It appears there’s a transmission sitting there, but I have no information on it. I was pleased that there’s a key in the ignition. He also gathered some really solid body parts – windshield, grill/front fenders, hood and tailgate. This gives you the opportunity to potentially sell the replaced parts. Also included for extra fun and value are two original, vintage manuals: Thompson’s Volume 16, and a Fourth Edition Willys Overland “Operation and Care of the Universal Jeep CJ-2A”.
You can ask questions, but I probably can’t answer them as my knowledge is very limited. Everything is under tarp/cover so more photos can be obtained but it’s not going to be a fast response.
I have surveyed experts. The range of asking price suggested was quite frustrating. Apparently big factors are market and location. So I’m going to let the market decide the price. I’m going to take offers for three weeks, until December 22.
Transport is your responsibility to arrange and pay for. If you Google Round Hill, Alberta, Canada you will be within five miles of our location.
To make an offer, please send your name, location, phone number and offer via email to laureenmorck@gmail.com If you have questions or want to come see it, please contact me at that email address.
