# 1964 Willys Wagon — 4WD Running/Driving Project
Currently registered and insured. Solid mechanical base with a fresh drivetrain; interior and cosmetics unfinished.
## Drivetrain
- New 350 Chevy Vortec crate motor from Summit, under 200 miles
- New Edelbrock 500 CFM AVS2 carburetor
- SM465 4-speed manual, granny-gear 1st (take off in 2nd for normal driving)
- 4WD with Warn hubs
- Dana 44 axles front and rear (from a Scout II), installed by previous owner
- New aluminum radiator with electric fan
- Lots of power, but very low gearing — not a highway cruiser. Never run much over 55. Rear ratio unknown.
## Wheels/Tires
- 33x12.5 ProComp tires on 15" steel wheels
- Tires bought new ~5 years ago; only the same ~200 miles as the new engine, always stored out of the sun
## Brakes/Electrical
- 4-wheel disc brakes, all new brake lines
- All new LED lighting, front to back; added 3rd brake light
- All new wiring, Painless kit (not fully tucked/dressed yet)
- New plastic fuel tank (old fuel-level sender appears nonfunctional)
- Door locks work
## Suspension/Frame
- New front ball joints; shimmed to ~7 degrees caster (helped noticeably, still drives like an old truck)
- Boxed frame for added strength (previous owner)
- Welded-in power steering mount (previous owner)
- Sits higher than stock due to axle mounting
## Interior
- Leather power seats from a 1990s Ford Explorer
- Sound deadening done up front, started in the rear
- Interior not finished
- No AC, no heater, no working windshield wipers
## Body/Paint
- Custom 2-tone Rustoleum paint, not clear coated. Intended as temporary: old paint and surface rust wire-wheeled off, taped, sprayed. Looks decent but dents were not addressed.
- Windshield cracked, needs replacement
- Tailgate fairly dented but repairable; one rust spot already cut out and repaired
- Small rust at each lower footwell — scraped and painted to halt for now, very repairable
## Towing
- Receiver tow hitch; wiring is right there to finish splicing in a connector
## History/Extras
- Purchased ~5 years ago as mostly a shell; prior work (axles, transmission, boxed frame, PS mount, junkyard 350) done by previous owner
- Stored indoors or under carport during my ownership; prior owner in Reno had it ~20 years
- Includes most of the side chrome trim and the Jerry-can holders that mount ahead of the doors
- Original junkyard 350 engine available with the truck if wanted (already replaced by the crate motor)
